Ceiling Pendant
A triangle for the resident to grip is attached to a cord arising from a ceiling connector. Typically located in a toilet and bathroom but is also beneficial in all the rooms of an apartment giving comprehensive access to the resident.
Neck pendant
This unit is worn around the neck and is wireless. Consideration has to be given to the coverage of wireless within the premises and therefore the reliability.
Wall Unit
The wall unit comprises a call button and the facility to attach a flying lead for the call button to be accessible to the patient from their bed.
Some wall units incorporate the facility for the resident/patient to speak to a member of staff in another area.
CONTROL UNITS AND DISPLAY (BASE STATION)
The control unit is positioned in the staff area and displays the unit which has summoned for assistance.
The control unit may include a paging system where base stations are not staffed all the time.
